The San Bernardino County Department of Public Works Special Districts team is proud to announce that County Service Area 20, Joshua Tree, recently received an award through the American Society of Landscape Architects recognizing the Desert View Conservation Area for its excellent design after the completion of the recent DVCA Phase I Project. Special Districts project management staff collaborated with Architerra Design Group to design this grant-funded project which included a prefabricated shade structure, prefabricated restroom, large custom steel entrance sign, interpretive directional/wayfinding signage, and various entrance gates. In addition to the award, the DVCA’s features have been highlighted in Recreation Magazine. Great projects require a strong team with a clear vision of what a successful project requires. This award is a testament of the trust and teamwork that made this award-winning project possible.
