Lake Drive along the crest of the dam is scheduled to reopen to motorists on April 26, following the Breakfast with your Supervisor and Lake Gregory Dam Completion Ceremony. Drivers will notice that the rehabilitation of the dam has allowed the road to widen to approximately 46 feet across which includes two 10-foot-wide shoulder lanes and two 13-foot-wide driving lanes. While the paving work has been completed, crews are diligently working to complete the safety and clean-up work necessary prior to reopening the road.
Rim of The World Unified School District bus routes for the Dart Canyon area will return to their original route across Lake Drive on Wednesday, May 1. As of May 1, a new bus schedule will be in effect and the bus stop at the field near the San Moritz Lodge will no longer be active. The new bus schedule is as follows:
