The Department of Public Works – Special Districts provides the following as a summary update since the August 2020 presentation:
- An Addendum was prepared to the Environmental Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration which was approved by San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors on November 17, 2020. A revised Notice of Determination was filed on January 5th, 2021. This means the environmental study is now completed, approved and the monitoring plan is already in place.
- The required paperwork was completed for all required private easements and all requests were sent to the landowners on Snowdrop for final acceptance and signatures. Easement agreements with Public agencies are in process and progressing.
- Completion of the permit requirements for Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB). Permit issuance is expected by Feb 2021.
- Snowdrop Road Project has been opened for bidding as of January 7th, 2021 with a targeted bid opening date of February 15th, 2021.
- Targeting a construction start date of May 2021 assuming construction bids come in line with the assessment district budget.
The Department of Public Works – Special Districts plans to have another online community briefing after the bid opening date so all construction costs are received and incorporated into the Project budget.
