On July 5th at 4:00 PM Big Bear Lake Recreation and Park District was delighted to host its first ever Certified Farmers Market. Being a certified Farmers Market means that vendors only sell what they grow at their own farms. Produce is harvested in the morning, the day of the Farmers Market, to ensure it’s as fresh as possible and pesticides are never used.
This Farmers Market is operated by Alexander Vallejos, the Market Manager, who is experienced with managing other local farmers’ markets. Alexander works with a variety of local vendors including farmers, artisans, bakers, fresh fish mongers, hot food vendors and more!
This market, that operates every Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM through the end of September, has been hugely popular among both residents of Big Bear Lake as well as visitors to the Big Bear Valley.
