The Department of Public Works – Special Districts is excited to announce the successful completion of the CSA 64 Recoating Tanks 2A and 2B Project, which includes the recoating and repair of the existing Tanks 2A (670,000 gallons) and 2B (1,00,000 gallons).
The project included modifications to various structural components to ensure compliance with current safety and health code standards and regulations. Additionally, the project included surface preparation, application of interior protective coatings, and exterior painting. Disinfection of interior surfaces was also integral to the project.
These preventive and proactive maintenance measures are expected to extend the lifespan of 20 – 30 years as the range for these two tanks.
