The Department of Public Works – Special Districts is excited to announce the successful completion of the CSA 64 Recoating Tanks 2A and 2B Project, which includes the recoating and repair of the existing Tanks 2A (0.67 MG) and 2B (1.0 MG). The project is located at CSA 64 Shop, 17470 Alder Street, Hesperia, CA 92345. The scope of work encompasses modifications to various structural components to ensure compliance with current safety and health codes, standards, and regulations. Additionally, the
project included surface preparation, application of protective coatings, and handling of hazardous and non-hazardous materials and waste. Disinfection of interior surfaces and execution of all tasks necessary to achieve fully functional structures and related components were also integral to the project. These preventive and proactive maintenance measures, such as timely recoat and repairs, are expected to extend the lifespan of these two tanks by several years or decades. These efforts will ultimately benefit not only the County but also the broader Hesperia community.
