The Department of Public Works—Special Districts is excited to announce the successful completion of the CSA 64 Spring Valley Lake – Lakeview Lift Station Renovation Project!
This project involved renovating the existing 1971 lift station to address odors reported by residents when the station was in operation. The project consisted of replacing the existing screw pumps with two submersible pumps, leveling the wet well base to accommodate the pumps and allow a larger operating volume, and installing a ductile iron pipe force main within the existing 21-inch clay pipe previously used for the screw pump equipment. Additional upgrades included a new electrical control panel and SCADA equipment.
These improvements will extend the lift station’s lifespan, increase its capacity to support future growth, and significantly reduce—or potentially eliminate—odors affecting nearby residents.
