Staff from the Bloomington Recreation and Park District and Special Districts Operations recently completed repairs to a damaged concrete walkway at Kessler Park. The project focused on addressing sections of the pathway that had become cracked and uneven, creating potential tripping hazards for park visitors.

Through a coordinated effort between park staff and SD Operations, the damaged portions of the walkway were removed and replaced to restore a safe and accessible path for the community. The collaboration allowed the work to be completed efficiently while improving overall park conditions.

These repairs are part of ongoing maintenance efforts to ensure that facilities at Kessler Park remain safe, functional, and welcoming for residents and visitors who use the park’s amenities.

Special Districts continues to work closely with park district staff to identify maintenance needs and implement practical solutions that improve the quality and safety of community spaces.
