Since the development of the first Television District in 1969, the San Bernardino County Special District Department has strived to provide superior high frequency signals to our customers.  We own and maintain five television towers within our districts, which provides service to thousands of homes within San Bernardino County.

10-23-2023 at 03:35 PMAll channels are currently down in Morongo Valley due to a coax cable replacement project that began this morning, 10/23/2023. The previous cable had begun to retain water from storm activity which did not allow signal to be broadcast at the required strength on several of the transmitted channels.

Technical team will return tomorrow to complete the installation of the new line. New coax line should be installed and programming restored by tomorrow afternoon, 10/24/2023. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our Over-the-Air viewers.

Staff was deployed to site on 9/3. Assessed situation and established that probable cause due to recent storm activity and water in coaxial cable going to broadcast antenna. Outside vendors contacted to get quotes for line replacement. Pending quotes and ER Purchase Order to establish work date.

Due to remote location and dangerous road conditions we will not be able to deploy technical support staff to the site until after the current storm activity subsides and road conditions improve.We anticipate deploying staff on Tuesday morning providing that it is safe to do so.
08-18-2023 at 07:40 AMElectrical Storm activity caused power loss at Pinto Mountain Block House. Back-up generator activated on site. Only channel 15-3 KTLA 5 restored automatically.
