Project Details
The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors has authorized the transformative Kessler Park Revitalization Project, designed to elevate the park, and create an exceptional experience for all visitors. This visionary initiative encompasses two major projects that promise to shape the future of Kessler Park.
Snack Bar and Restroom Renovation Project
This Project includes a complete renovation of the snack bar food service area, as well as the men’s and women’s restrooms, and an enhanced office area. To provide much-needed comfort and convenience, a shade canopy will be constructed on the west side of the building. The funding for this is made possible through funding from the Bloomington Community Benefit/Improvement Reserve and the American Rescue Plan Act Funds.
The Kessler Corridor Improvements and Wi-Fi Project
This Project includes the construction of interior concrete pathways that connect the four existing ball fields, opening up new recreational opportunities for children and visitors of all ages. Furthermore, the Kessler Corridor Improvements Project will introduce a Wi-Fi main hub system with access points throughout the park. This exciting addition will provide internet access to all park users, keeping them connected while they immerse themselves in the surroundings. The funding for this is made possible through funding from the Bloomington Community Benefit/Improvement Reserve, American Rescue Plan Act, and Fifth District Discretionary Funds.
There are even more improvements imagined for Kessler Park. As ideas become reality, we will share them here.
As we forge ahead with these projects, we will keep you informed with regular updates on the progress. Please note that during the construction phase, there will be temporary closures to certain portions of the park to ensure the safety of visitors and workers. We understand the inconvenience this may cause and sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this period.
Regular updates regarding the construction progress and any temporary closures will be provided on this page. We encourage you to stay informed through these updates, which will also include alternative routes through the park.
Thank you for your continued support and patience as we work together to transform Kessler Park into an even more vibrant and enjoyable space for our community. Together, we are building a vibrant and inviting space where cherished memories are made.
