Caltrans will be working to clear a rockslide on The Narrows portion of Highway 18 on January 30. Highway 18 will be closed in both directions to all motorists between the Highway 138 interchange to Crest Forest Drive while work is underway from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Due to the road closure, hauling trucks for the Lake Gregory Dam Improvement Project will be rerouted to enter Crestline via Highway 138 to Lake Drive. The Narrows will be re-opened to motorists before and after work hours. Hauling trucks will return to the regularly scheduled route on January 31.
With rain forecast this week, the County asks that all motorists drive carefully and be aware of possible hazards.
