Bloomington Recreation and Park District has been working on various upgrades within Kessler Park. The border parkway of the Park along Jurupa Avenue contained lantana plant which was difficult to manage and collected windblown debris. The Park District initiated a capital improvement project to remove the lantana and old outdated irrigation and replace with new irrigation lines and an evergreen Bermuda turf. In addition, the split rail fence along the parking lot was painted bright white. This completed improvement gives the entrance to the park a bright and welcoming feel to visitors and participants.
