The Department of Public Works – Special Districts is pleased to announce following updates to the Kessler Park Revitalization projects for the months of October 2023 – December 2023:
Snack Bar and Restroom Renovation Construction Updates:
There has been a tremendous amount of progress for the Snack Bar Project. The demolition has been completed, as well as the first phase, which includes updating and/or replacement of the existing utilities.
Currently, the project is in the second phase and is making great progress. The plumbing, electrical conduits, indoor floor framing, door frames, doors, and the grease interceptor have been installed. Furthermore, the shelter along the west side of the building has been installed and is awaiting final finishes once the remainder of the exterior improvements have been completed.

Corridor Construction Updates:
Similar to the Snack Bar Project, the Corridor Project work is making great progress. The demolition of the existing concrete has been completed, along with the installation of electrical conduits for future wi-fi, and drainage.
Currently, the construction of the trash enclosure is in progress, along with the fine grading to prepare for a concrete pour in January.
The Snack Bar and Corridor Projects are anticipated to be completed by March 8, 2024.
