The Department of Public Works – Special Districts, in partnership with the Bloomington Recreation and Park District, is pleased to announce the completion of the Kessler Basketball Lighting Project!
The Project involved the installation of seven solar-powered LED lights at the basketball court and East parking lot at Kessler Park. The work included the installation of concrete bases, metal poles, solar modules and lighting fixtures. Implementation of the new lighting system will allow the community to use the basketball court at night and yield enhanced safety and security measures by optimizing visibility. The incorporation of solar-powered lighting will also promote energy efficiency and sustainability.
