The Department of Public Works – Special Districts is pleased to announce the completion of the Old Ayala Park Demolition.
In February 2017, the Board of Supervisors approved the Valley Corridor Specific Plan. The goal of this Specific Plan was to create the foundation for a more vibrant community corridor. As part of this plan, the Ayala Park project was relocated to better serve the new and existing neighborhoods and provide increased opportunities for physical activity through interconnected open space. The new Ayala Park project opened to the public in August 2022. With the new Ayala Park in place, the existing community center was demolished, and the property is now graded in anticipation of the future state of the art Animal Control Facility.
