What is ALICE?

ALICE (A Live Interactive Customer Experience) is virtual receptionist that enables the County to serve its residents and customers in remote office locations.  Customers are able to communicate with other County staff while they visit their local library without having to travel to a main office.

Although ALICE is a virtual receptionist, people will still be interacting with a live individual on the other end to help answer any questions, provide needed information, or make the necessary referrals.  ALICE service is available from the Library, Aging and Adult Services  (Senior Information and Assistance), Public Works – Special Districts (Water and Sanitation and Surveyor) , Veterans Affairs, and Public Health (Environmental Health Services).

Each Department has a “button” on the ALICE kiosk that directs a customer to that service.  Once that button is pushed, a video call is initiated to that Department and an employee will answer the call to start the interaction with the customer.
