Since the development of the first Television District in 1969, the San Bernardino County Special District Department has strived to provide superior high frequency signals to our customers. We own and maintain five television towers within our districts, which provides service to thousands of homes within San Bernardino County.

10-23-2023 at 03:35 PM	All channels are currently down in Morongo Valley due to a coax cable replacement project that began this morning, 10/23/2023. The previous cable had begun to retain water from storm activity which did not allow signal to be broadcast at the required strength on several of the transmitted channels.	CSA 70 TV-2	Technical team will return tomorrow to complete the installation of the new line.	New coax line should be installed and programming restored by tomorrow afternoon, 10/24/2023. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our Over-the-Air viewers.
09-07-2023 at 01:45 AM	Transmission loss was reported to all programming on 9/3/2023.	CSA 70 TV-2	Staff was deployed to site on 9/3. Assessed situation and established that probable cause due to recent storm activity and water in coaxial cable going to broadcast antenna. Outside vendors contacted to get quotes for line replacement.	Pending quotes and ER Purchase Order to establish work date.
08-21-2023 at 05:00 AM	All programming has been restored.	CSA 70 TV-4 & TV-5	Staff will continue to monitor channels for any storm related outages over the next few days.	Issue Resolved.
08-20-2023 at 08:30 AM	Loss of programming on 5 channels.	CSA 70 TV-4 & TV-5	Due to remote location and dangerous road conditions we will not be able to deploy technical support staff to the site until after the current storm activity subsides and road conditions improve.	We anticipate deploying staff on Tuesday morning providing that it is safe to do so.
08-18-2023 at 07:40 AM	Electrical Storm activity caused power loss at Pinto Mountain Block House. Back-up generator activated on site. Only channel 15-3 KTLA 5 restored automatically.	CSA 70 TV-4 & TV-5	Team has been deployed to site.	We anticipate this issue being resolved by noon, today.
08-08-2023 at 01:40 PM	Channel 17-4, ME TV, on Pinto Mountain has a frozen screen.	CSA 70 TV-4 & TV-5	Transmission on channel 17-4 was restored. All transmissions functioning as programmed.	Issued Resolved.
08-08-2023 at 07:45 AM	Channel 17-4, ME TV, on Pinto Mountain has a frozen screen.	CSA 70 TV-4 & TV-5	Team has been deployed to site.	We anticipate this issue being resolved by noon, today
07-31-2023 at 01:58 PM	Electric storm has caused power outages in the area affecting the TV Districts	CSA 70 TV-4 & TV-5	All programming has been restored on Pinto Mountain.	Issue Resolved
07-31-2023 at 10:10 AM	Electric storm has caused power outages in the area affecting the TV Districts	CSA 70 TV-4 & TV-5	Maintenance team has been deployed to site to manually reboot receivers and restore programming.	Barring damage to equipment, we anticipate being able to fully restore programming by 2pm this afternoon.
