On a sunny August 6th morning, the new Ayala Park opened to the public with a spectacular event. Almost 500 people were in attendance where Supervisor Joe Baca Jr. and Assemblywoman Eloise Gomez Reyes spoke commemorating the hard-working community of Bloomington who deserve superior amenities and quality programming. Face painting, balloon artists, games and community booths were all present for attendees to participate in prior to and after the ribbon cutting ceremony. Ontario Fury, a local soccer club, also conducted a clinic for 50 local youngsters who braved the heat to learn some new drills and skills. Regular programming has now begun with instructor led classes and youth sport leagues kicking off the next day in the Park and Community Center.
