The Department of Public Works – Special Districts is pleased to announce the completion of the Kessler Park Batting Cage Improvements, in the Bloomington Recreation and Park District (BRPD).
Funds provided by San Bernardino County’s Fifth District were utilized to convert the existing decomposed granite (DG) batting and soft-toss cages surfacing to artificial turf. Additional improvements included batting cage banners recognizing BRPD and Bloomington Little League; batting cage netting; portable pitching mound; movable batters box mat and a protective “L” screen, which allows pitchers to throw the ball while remaining protected behind the net.
