The San Bernardino County Public Works, Special Districts’ Division of Water and Sanitation is pleased to announce it has upgraded its billing system to include a new online portal. County Water and Sanitation customers have not had access to an Auto-Pay option to pay their water or sewer bill or been able to access a portal to update account information. The billing team, with the assistance of Special Districts IT expertise, worked with the billing system vendor, Tyler Technologies, to implement a customer portal. Customers can now access account information 24/7, sign up for E-billing, property owners can monitor multiple billing accounts from a single account, and pay their bill with no service charge. Lastly, customers can now sign up for AUTO-PAY! The Division went live with the portal on a limited basis in mid-February and is excited to expand its availability to all 13,000 plus accounts. Since the initial beta go-live the Division has signed up over 1,000 accounts and of those over 24% have signed up for auto-pay. The portal benefits the Water and Sanitation division by reducing staff time spent with common customer requests and reducing the number of checks needing to be processed.  The online portal has been requested by customers for quite some time and is finally available.
