The Department of Public Works, Special Districts staff completed their annual maintenance in CSA 18 Cedarpines Park and performed work on two roads that were deemed important for this year’s operation & maintenance cycle. Alder Creek Road, a 975 ft. long dirt roadway was graded to repair wash outs and uneven sections. Class 2 recycled base was installed along the full length of the road and graded and compacted making for a sustainable surface. Burnt Mill Canyon Road, another road in the district was worked on to improve its drivability. Forty tons of recycled Class 2 road base was also installed, graded, and compacted to mitigate several water affected areas with focus being placed on the sections above Crest Forest Road where the greatest need was identified. These two improvements have been noticed and well received within the community.
