Property owners residing in Road District R-34 (The Alley) in Big Bear:

You are invited to a town hall meeting on January 18, 2024 at 7:00 pm PST. As detailed in a letter sent on May 1, 2021, the District has not implemented a rate increase since the District was formed in 1994 and the District’s long-term sustainability is at risk. The District had ceased all maintenance services to reserve the limited available funding for snowplowing. As additional cost-saving measures, District staff also avoided mobilizing snowplows when snow accumulation was 6″ or less to maintain funding reserves for more impactful snow events. These measures again are being implemented for the current winter season. Depending on the severity of the winter season, should the available cash reserves be exhausted, the District may cease all maintenance and snowplowing services until future assessment funds are received. We are inviting property owners in Road District R-34 (The Alley) to a Town Hall meeting on January 18, 2024 to discuss solutions to the funding issues that the district is currently experiencing.

Special Districts mailed out letters to the mailing addresses listed in the Property Information Management System (PIMS) in December of 2023. Town Hall Meeting

A town hall meeting is being offered for all interested residents to share questions and receive comments from the Department regarding the proposed district formation.
